AVAS Sound Unit
This AVAS R138 sound solution operates with 12/24 Vdc (ISO1750-2) and offers 3 external sounds for electric/hybrid vehicles: AVAS SESALY sound, pedestrian gong sound, and reverse gear alarm. The volume is adjustable in accordance with R138 regulations and can vary from 0-20 km/h depending on the vehicle speed. Thanks to the CAN reading feature (2.0A and 2.0B – J1939 – ISO 11898-2), functions like day/night mode and reverse gear can be activated. The required information for the AVAS function is the vehicle speed and direction. The consumption is 83mA at 24V and 166mA at 12V, and it comes with an 8 DEUTSCH connector. The protection ratings are IP56K for under-frame mounting and IP64K for the speaker. It weighs 640 grams, and an optional second speaker can be connected. SESALY software is integrated for volume adjustment.

AVAS Diffuser Unit
The AVAS R138 sound solution operates with 12/24 Vdc and controls 12 different sounds, including the AVAS sound. It can manage both external (pedestrian gong, reverse gear alarm) and internal (radio, security alarm) sounds. All settings and sound levels can be adjusted via a web application. With CAN reading (2.0A/2.0B – J1939), various functions can be automated. SESA Tunes Premium manages 8 speakers, has a protection rating of IP 40K, and weighs 556 grams. Connections are ITXPT compatible and support CAN.
